Michael Joseph Boutte

Michael Joseph Boutte, affectionately known as "Big Mike," was born on February 22, 1956, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Ruth Mary Boutte. A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, he later made his home in Sulphur, Louisiana, where he lived for the past thirty-six years. Michael worked as a cook and was well-known for his love of fishing and playing dominoes. He was very protective of his wife and family, and his larger-than-life personality made him unforgettable. Always quick with words, he was definitely a "mess talker".

On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Michael departed this life at his residence surrounded by his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Bobbie Hickson Boutte; daughters, Ericka Glodd, Ebony Easton (Gerard Bruno), Tiffany Glodd, and Dana Davis; sons, Jermaine Glodd, Michael Hickson (Rachel), Daniel Hickson (Tiana), and Jordan Hickson (Alexys); sisters, Edna Perry, Beverly Bradley, Wanda Anderson, and Georgia Anderson; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Mary Boutte; stepfather, Leroy Anderson Sr.; and brother, Leroy Anderson Jr. His visitation will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 8AM with his funeral following at 10AM, at James Funeral Home located at 1801 Moeling Street in Lake Charles. Rev. Calvin Peco will officiate. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery in Sulphur.
