Dear Brother Mike, I can't believe it's been a year since you left this world to a better place. I think about you every day. Your good buddies Doug and Venessa helped to get me some photos and your Army / POW Memorial from your backyard, which I now have in my backyard along with the American Flag. Your memorial lights up at night to help me smile all day long. Thank God for so many fond memories. Love, Mary

Here's Mike at his 50th highschool class reunion in 2018. Also sitting with his lifelong friend, Dennis Helmer who has also since passed.

Mike was a good friend and as interesting of a person as you would ever meet. He confided in me for a lot of technical advice for his automotive paint projects and we had fun at some car shows over the years. I will truly miss him, his humor, and his creative soul. Rest in peace Mike. You were one of the best in so many ways.

Mike never ceased to amaze me. He was a multi talented genius on many levels. Artist, mechanical. Humanitarian, activist, he could do just about anything he put his mind to. He loved ice cream!! He was not shy when ice cream was available! I loved him as my brother, I will miss him terribly, but so very glad he was in my life .
