Michael Brand

I just learned of Michael's passing. Amazing but we both attended Christ King School (Wauwatosa WI), Marquette High (we were both on the wrestling team), and wound up being roommates at UW Madison. I knew Susanna well and most of the kids, too. Life was not always easy or comfortable but there was plenty of love to be shared. Rest easy, my friend.

I have nothing but good memories of Michael. Good man, and I will definitely miss seeing him.

What a kind, fun, and understanding Grade School (Christ King Catholic School in Wauwatosa, Wis) Classmate Mike was! We will remember him fondly at our 65th Grade School Reunion this September. So many of us had such fun childhood memories of all the ways Mike stood up for all of us, like stepping up to defend some of us from being pushed around on the playground, always being present to defend those kids that were being teased, and in general, the thoughtful person that was always your best friend. He made our childhood a gentle and kind world.
