Pastor Michael LeRoy Brandenburg, a fervent soldier of God and the U.S. Army, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in Paducah, Kentucky, at the age of 77. He was born February 26, 1948, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Walker and Bertha Brandenburg.

Michael dedicated his life to ministry for nearly 55 years, passionately serving as an evangelist for 43 years and pastoring for over 12. His unwavering faith was a beacon of hope and love to countless individuals throughout his remarkable journey.

Michael graduated from Milton Union High School in 1966, later obtaining his Associate's Degree from Open Bible College. His education laid a strong foundation for a life committed to service, both in his spiritual calling and as a veteran who proudly defended our country during the Vietnam War. As the current Pastor at Full Gospel Tabernacle and the secretary / treasurer of Full Gospel Ministries Association, Inc., Michael embodied dedication and leadership within his community.

Michael’s legacy lives on through his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Brandenburg; their cherished sons: Michael Jeremiah Brandenburg (Melisa) and Matthew Israel Brandenburg (Misty Dawn); grandchildren, who were the pride and joys of his life: Matthew Clay, Michael Zachariah (Shelby) Brandenburg, Michaela Jade Gooch (Lukas), Mariah Faith Brandenburg, MaLyn Paige Brandenburg and Morgan Taylor Brandenburg; and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Grace Brandenburg who was also his pride and joy. Michael looked forward to the birth of a great-grandson, who is on the way.

Michael’s affectionate nature extended to his siblings, Patricia Simpson and Charlotte Loudermilk (Pastor William), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will greatly miss his kind spirit and warm heart.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Drive, Riverside, OH 45404, where his celebration of life service will begin at 7:00 pm. His brother-in-law, Pastor William Loudermilk will proudly officiate. Michael will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery at 10:00 am on Friday, May 30, 2025, with full military honors. His funeral procession will form on Friday at the church at 9:00 am and will leave promptly at 9:15 am.

Though Michael has departed from this earthly realm, his legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him. His life was a testament to unwavering commitment, both to his family and his faith, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
