Michael Anthony Brandon, 60, of Oakwood Village, OH departed this life Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 5:04 p.m. at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center, following complications from an extended illness.

He was born August 18, 1965 in Warren, OH, the son of Anthony and Karen "Kay" Tiggett Brandon, residing in the Cleveland area for 40 years, coming from Warren.

Michael was employed with First National Bank for 7 years as Vice President of Treasury Management, before retiring January 2025. He also worked for Key Bank as Vice President of Treasury Management for 35 years. He graduated in 1983 from Warren Western Reserve High School and attended Indiana Tech.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion Oakwood Village. Before joining Mt. Zion, he was a member of the East Side Church of Christ, where he was baptized. He belonged to the Black United Fund Advisory Board and enjoyed golfing, fishing, chess and playing pool.

He married Krystal Brown Brandon August 8, 1992.

Besides his wife of Oakwood Village, he leaves to mourn one son, Cameron Michael Brandon of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Ms. KeAira Shante Brandon of Cleveland; his mother, Ms. Karen "Kay" Brandon of Warren and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Ms. Monica Brandon.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Oakwood Village, 1 Mt. Zion Circle, Oakwood Village, OH 44146, with a wake from 10:00-10:30 a.m. Calling Hours will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the East Side Church of Christ, 1750 Niles Rd., Warren, OH 44484. Burial will take place at Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Krystal ,their children, and his Mom. Mike was a shining star who was intelligent, personable, genuine, and caring. I met him when he started at Keybank many years ago. I recognized his greatness immediately. May he rest in peace. He will be missed. Praying for you all!

I was lucky enough to work with Mike at First National Bank, where we shared many of the same clients. Mike was an absolute joy to work with every single day. He was loved by everyone. I wish his family nothing but the best. I know he was very proud of his family and loved them to the fullest extent.

I had the fortune opportunity to work with Michael for 8 years while he was at First National Bank. He was a gentleman and a wonderful person. We will dearly miss Michael and his warm smile!
