Michael J. Brogan Sr.

Michael J. Brogan Sr., 67, of Slatington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Tina M. (Brown) Brogan, whom he married on March 28, 1987.

Born in Allentown on June 15, 1958, he was the son of the late Richard Brogan and Shirley (Zuppert) Snyder.

Mike received an associate's degree from Thaddeus Stevens Trade School in 1978.

Most recently, Mike worked as the equipment/delivery manager for Eastern States Paving for 21 years. Prior to that, he worked for RCN and Carl Bieber Bus Co.

Mike was a faithful parishioner of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington, where he served as a lector.

He was a member of the Slatington Skeet Club, American Legion Post 16 and the Hose Co. No. 1, and was a former bartender for the American Legion Post 899, Lehigh Township.

Mike had an outgoing personality and was always smiling. A true people person who loved everyone, he was especially known for his Friday night chicken, which brought family and friends together.

In addition to his wife Tina, he will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Michael J. Brogan Jr. and his girlfriend, Brittany Young, and Shawn P. Brogan, both of Slatington; a "third son," Andy Kropf; grandchildren, Jameson and Bailey; a brother, Richard Brogan and his wife, Jean, of Portland, OR; and a sister, Shannon Snyder-deWitt of New Tripoli.

He was also predeceased by brothers, Patrick and Timothy Brogan.

Service: Mass of Christian Burial at noon Saturday, Dec. 27, Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington St., Slatington. Interment will be private. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 27, in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mike's memory can be made to Assumption BVM Memorial Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
