EUNICE~It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michael Brown on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at his home at the age of 75. A Celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. The ceremony will commence at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Travis Bond leading us in honoring Michael's memory.

      Born in Eunice to Dewey and Effie Fontenot Brown, Michael embodied the soul of an outdoorsman. Spending time in nature and hunting brought him great joy.  He was also an avid collector of firearms and enjoyed cooking. He cherished his time venturing to the camp and riding four-wheelers. A loyal fan of all things rugged and sturdy, he relied solely on his dependable Dodge as his means of transportation.

     This remarkable man leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond his love for the great outdoors. He was a loving father, cherished grandfather, and steadfast friend. Left to remember him lovingly are his three children: Shane Brown and wife, Teri from Sunset, Tina Brown, and Lisa Brown Cuccio and husband Chris, all of Eunice; and sister, Gwen Veillon and husband, Darrell of Lake Charles. Forever etched in his heart were the moments spent with his five grandchildren: Lindsey Brown, Tyler Jurls, McKenzie Dwoznik, Justin Vige, and Michael Vige. Additionally, he took great delight in the presence of his six great-grandchildren.

        We find solace in knowing that Michael will be reunited with his beloved wife, Linda Brown, who has preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his parents, Dewey and Effie Fontenot Brown; his brothers, Danny Brown and Bobby Brown; and a great-grandson, Gavin David.

To honor Michael's memory, visitation will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 10:00am until the start of the funeral service.
