Mike gave me my first chance in a management position at RCA. He encouraged me to help the community ... which, in my case, was with Cooper Hospital. Mike accomplished much in an all too short lifetime ... professionally and privately. Knew him well until I moved from Haddonfield in 1992.

Mike was an absolute gem and I felt so fortunate to have worked under his leadership for many years. I so admired his gumption and ideas for growing the service business. Most importantly I appreciated his support, kindness, humor and "let's move forward" approach in both exciting and challenging times.
I've thought of Mike often and was so sad to see this obituary. 'Wishing all of the Camardo family inner peace and may your fond memories of Mike boost your spirits in sad times.

It wasn't until I heard the thunderous applause after the speeches of rememberance this morning in church that I realized how many people were there with us to say goodbye; we are each so lucky to have known someone who made so many feel special and loved. Rest In Peace, Uncle Michael.

I worked in the Defense for 45 years and the very best of these years were working for Mike Camardo
He was a great leader with a tremendous insight in growing business
However is greatest attribute was in the way he treated people. From the lowest to the highest all were treated equally and fairly.
SOME MEN LEAVE THEIR MARK ON THE WORLD BY THE WAY THEY LIVE AND THE DIFFERENCE THEY
MAKE IN THE LIVES THEY TOUCH THAT WAS MIKE and I am glad I knew him
God Bless His Family

Mr. Camardo was a remarkable man and a most remarkable CEO and "boss". He was the best of "Old-School Gentleman" Managers who would stay late when his employees were working late, kept up with and looked after his charges, and served God, his family, his employees, his employer, and his community with everything he had. Topped with "uncommon-common-sense" in avoiding short-term trends in favor of long-term wisdom, people like this are exceedingly rare. It was a privilege to work with and for him. He is missed, but we can be grateful and also use what was "caught and taught" by Mr Camardo. Certainly the highlight of a work career was being in his "org-chart" at any level.

My dearest Maryann
Bill and I are so saddened by the news of Mike's passing. You and Mike mean the world to me.
Mike was and always will be my dearest friend and my mentor. He helped me to accelerate my career and he was always there for me.
I especially remember his great sense of humor and I will never forget our trips together to Moscow and China. We spent so much time laughing.
I thank the Lord every day that I met you and Mike and that the two of you became part of my life and part of my heart.
As I always say "Thank you God for what we have and three times for what we don't have
There are few blessings in this life, but I count my friendship with Mike as one of them, and there is some comfort in knowing that the Lord decided it was time for him to come home. We pray that he is in heaven now, and I know my beloved parents will be there to welcome him.
Please be strong and know that you are supported by close family and friends.
My heart hurts for you, my dear friend.
I send my most sincere condolences on your loss. We will all miss your Michael.
Love, love and more love,
Yelena Raben @ Bill Hurst

Uncle Michael Was a role model for all of us. In a world where people praise sports figures he is the type of person we want our kids to grow up and be like. He was a loving family man Who cared deeply about people and the communities he was involved in. Thank you uncle Michael for making a difference!!

April 8, 2001, Mike Camardo sent my dying Italian father and my mom (Chuck and Kathie Mantello) to his one and only professional hockey game, the Philly Fliers. Mike gave up his season tickets for them and Frank Armijo paid for their flights. My dad was a hockey coach for 30 years. His bucket list was a professional game. My father died May 23, 2001. He and my mom which was her birthday on April 8, had the best time. Mike and my dad wrote to each other until he died. Linda Gooden and Mike sent flowers when he passed. I will NEVER forget what they did for somebody the did not even know. This was all arranged by Doc Dougherty. Rest in peace Mike. I never forgot you.
