Michael Vernon Canham was born June 26, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah to his parents Gary Canham and Kay Brundage Canham. Mike passed away peacefully on Jan 1, 2025 after complications from a stroke.
As a child he dreamed about being an actor. He lived his life as one for almost 25 years performing at many theaters and in many roles. This dream came to an abrupt halt when he suffered his first stroke at age 42. He spent a few years working with the RGSE raising finds for the LGBT community. He met many people and they have become some kind of friend in one way or another. He truly enjoyed every person who made an appearance or left an impression on his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Kay. His big brothers, Greg and Steve and his sister, who he never met, Melinda. He is survived by his brother Bob (Rachel), Sister in law, Lisa and 13 Nephews and Nieces, besties and many acquaintances, but most of all his best friend ever, his good dog, Oliver.
In the end Mike was able to help others by being an organ donor. His family would like to thank MC in Murray for taking wonderful care of him. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Utah or to an animal charity of your choice.
