Michael Joseph Carell, 58, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on January 25, 2026, surrounded by love.
Michael was the funniest person in every room—effortlessly quick-witted, endlessly kind, and known for telling the best jokes that could make anyone giggle. He had a rare gift for making people feel at ease and always knew exactly what to say, offering thoughtful advice with humor and heart.
Michael was the definition of selfless. He was generous with his time, his wisdom, and his love, and he lived with a deep pride in his family. Above all else, he loved being a dad. He cherished time spent with his children, found peace fishing, and adored his dog and best friend, Blu. To those who knew him, Michael was a protector, a guide, and a constant source of laughter—our superhero.
He was preceded in death by his father, James W. Carell; his mother, Eileen Prindiville; and his brothers, Richard and Jimmy Carell.
Michael is survived by his wife, Jennifer Carell; his children, Peyton Carell Fuller, Justin Carell, and Emilie Carell; his grandchild, Emerson Fuller; and his sisters, Christie Palmer and Eily Nicholson.
He will be remembered for his humor, his wisdom, and the love he gave so freely. And in true Michael fashion, he’d say it simply: “Love ya, later, see ya, bye.”
The family will announce a celebration of life at a future date.
