Michael A Carnes

 

Michael Alfred Carnes, 75, of Fort Mitchell, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, November 8, 2023.  He was born July 16, 1948, in Covington, the son of the late Sanford Carnes and Rachel Wisdom Carnes.  He was the Owner/Operator of Spiff Services, which he established in 1974.  He was preceded in death by two of his sons, Michael Paxton Carnes and Benjamin Ryan Carnes.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jeannie Collins Carnes, whom he married on September 30, 1969.  Also surviving are 5 children – Cortney Carnes, Gregory Ty Carnes, Sanford (Nicole) Carnes, Shad (Jennifer) Carnes and Danielle Carnes; 11 grandchildren who lovingly called him “Papa” – Nora, Mitchell, Maddie, Lucy, Brodie, Jacob, Aidyn, Mason, Caitlyn (Xavier), Paxton, and Devon; 2 great grandchildren – Leo and Emmett; 2 brothers-in-law who were like sons – Mark Collins and Steve Collins; and 2 brothers – Greg (Erica) Carnes and Gary Carnes.  There will be a private graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, and a Celebration of Life service November 26 at Crossroads, 828 Heights Blvd, Florence, KY from 3 pm to 6 pm In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: .https://mda.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.personalCampaign&participantID=63414
