Michael "Mickey" Carpentieri

Michael "Mickey" Carpentieri died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 20, 2024. He was born on September 7, 1946 in Windsor, CT and spent most of his adult life in Southern Shores, NC.
Mickey served our country in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army in the Big Red One (1st Infantry Division.) He was wounded in battle and received the Purple Heart Medal of Honor.
Michael is now reunited in Heaven with his loving wife, Fran. He is survived by his son Jamie, wife Kimber and his beloved grandchildren: Cason, Elisa, Maeli, Kiah and Arrow. He also leaves behind a brother, Louis Carpentieri and sister, Karen Ruel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Gladys Carpentieri; brothers, Glenn and Neal Carpentieri; and his sister, Carol Dehart.
His life was celebrated in a small service at his favorite fishing spot on the beach with family and friends where he was honored by the National Guard. He will be remembered for his sacrificial service to our country and for his utmost devotion to his family who will miss him dearly.
