We gather to remember and celebrate the life of Michael F. Carroll, who was born on March 4th, 1955, in Lowell, Massachusetts. Michael was a dedicated, loving, and thoughtful individual who had an unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and his profession. He was a steadfast beacon of support for everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Michael was a prankster and never let an opportunity pass to jump out and scare you, mess with you, and or play a joke.
Michael spent his working years in the Building and Grounds department at Lawrence Academy where he retired from, extending his love for nature and the outdoors into a profession. He was an avid sports enthusiast, playing hockey as the goalie throughout his years. He loved watching the Boston Bruins and The New England Patriots. He loved being outdoors, whether it was planting flowers or attending to the lawn. Michael was known for his green thumb, tending to a beautiful garden of flowers that mirrored the beauty of his spirit. He was a master of the grill, hosting unforgettable cookouts that brought together family and friends, filling their lives with joy, laughter, and delicious food. Michael celebrated every holiday with heartwarming enthusiasm, making each occasion special for those around him.
Michael is survived by his wife, Deborah (La Sala) Carroll, his children, Nicole McCarthy, Stephanie Ferullo, Nathan Carroll and his brother and sister in-law, Walter and Susan Carroll. He was also a doting grandfather to Autumn McCarthy, Ryan McCarthy, Declan Rainville, Mia Ferullo, Paislee Foster, Piper Carroll, and Nayvie Carroll. Along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter W. and Lorraine (Bowie) Carroll, and his sister, Linda Carroll.
