His Legacy Michael Dean Carter, 63, passed away August 6, 2023. He was born on March 19, 1960, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Orville Carter and Sally Ann (Miller) Carter. Mike was a Lieutenant with the Putnam Township Fire Department for 20 years and was very devoted to the department. Upon retirement he spent 10 years working at Auto Value. Customers loved to come there and be helped by him, he was very friendly and knowledgeable about cars. Mike had a huge heart and would do anything for anybody and was always willing to help. Mike was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
His Family Mike will be missed by his father, Orville Carter; siblings, LuAnn (Daryl) Siira, Larry (Cindy) Carter; step-children, Nick Lafehr, Amanda Lafehr, Steve Lafehr; nephews, Joshua (Ashley) Oestreich, Ricky Oestreich, Eddie Carter; nieces, Amanda (Nick) Ortiz, Maryanne (Jay) Rathbun; and many great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sally Ann Carter.
