Michael Andre’ Champion was born to Patricia Champion on March 2, 1975 in Columbus, Ohio. He was called to eternal rest Friday, August 9, 2024.
Dre’ was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was baptized on January 3, 2016.
Michael was educated in the Columbus Public School System. He graduated from Eastmoor High School with the class of 1995, he also attended Northeast Career Center where he studied Electrical Engineering. He was a master builder, handyman and an accomplished man of God. Dre’ loved the Philadelphia Eagles football team, fishing and his children.
Michael Andre’ leaves to cherish his memory, father, Herman R., Sr.; mother, Patricia A. Walker; brothers, Tony Smith (Tawana), Steven Champion and Herman R., Jr. (Tascha); sister, Laretha Champion; children, Shakhia Love, Michael Champion and Cy’Dre Moore; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
