GUILDERLAND -
Michael P. Chase Sr. "Mike," born March 17, 1957, passed away peacefully at home on November 13, 2025.
Born in Albany, N.Y., to the late Lloyd and Louise Chase, he lived in Guilderland, N.Y., the majority of his life. He was a senior computer software engineer. In his heart of hearts, he was a mechanic and began his career as such. A graduate of Guilderland High School and Union College as a mechanical engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Mitzi Chase (Rosencrans); children, daughter, Kimberly McHugh (Chase); son-in-law, Kevin McHugh; son, Michael P. Chase Jr.; daughter-in-law, Maureen Chase; and son, Matthew R. Chase. Papa to Madalyn McHugh, Henry McHugh, Noah Chase, Mason Chase, Gavin Chase, Aidan Chase and Owen Chase; his brothers, Raymond Chase, and Robert Chase (Peggy Smith); and his sister, Mary Zaremski (Chase) (Michael "Z" Zaremski). He is also survived by a large loving extended family.
Services will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on November 20, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. A Mass of Catholic Burial will take place at Christ the King Church, on Friday, November 21, at 10:00 a.m., 20 Sumter Ave., Albany. Interment immediately following in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Few Men held my attention as Mike did...a Friend a mentor and an all around adventurous guy. Mike's big smile and laugh is still fresh in my mind...Even though we did not see much of each other over the many years, often memories of Mike would put a smile on my face...wishing Mike and Family well. My is at a loss.

Michael there are no words that can describe the hurt in all of our hearts, you will be terribly missed by everyone that knew you and your family. You were not just a friend but a brother . It sometimes be a while that we hadn't had a chance to talk and when we did it was like we hadn't missed a day. You and Mitzi I could honestly say you weren't just my best friend but best friend to many.
Michael you will be truly missed Thank You for the time you gave us all. God Speed My friend you'll be in our hearts forever.
