Michael "Kyle" Choate (23) Born July 27, 1999, was called home to be with GOD on September 24, 2022. Kyle was a bible believing Christian and was brought up in church at Northside Baptist Church and later loved the young adult ministries at First Baptist Church's "the Rock."
Kyle was known for many things to many people. He was "Bubba" to his twin brother Keith, he was "son," He was "buddy" he was "boogie" to mom, he was "wrong hand," and he was "lefty," he was "Coach Kyle" but more than anything else he was "friend."
Kyle was a lifelong resident of Hardee County and graduated in 2017. He lettered in swim and baseball where he was voted the most valuable player in 2017. Kyle played baseball for South Florida State College for two years. He then signed with Webber International University where he played for 2 more years graduating with a degree in business. In the off-season, he traveled up to Virginia where he was invited to play one season with the MLB Valley League, the Front Royal Cardinals.
After baseball, Kyle then attended South Florida State College where he graduated from the Emergency Medical Technician program. Kyle was currently waiting for the fire academy to begin in January 2023. He had plans to enter the fire service just like his dad, his twin brother Keith and his older brother Cole.
Last year Wildcat Head Coach Steve Rewis asked Kyle to join the varsity baseball coaching staff. This was such an honor for Kyle, he considered this one of the best things ever. He truly felt like he was able to give back. Kyle loved working with the young up-and-coming men of the team. He loved the game, he loved the mentorship but most of all he loved the boys.
Kyle is survived by his parents, Michael, and Linda Choate. three Brothers, Twin brother Keith Choate, Cole Choate, and Clay Choate. Grandfather, Robert Shiver. Grandparents Peggy and Daniel Helms. Great Grandmother, Jackie Richardson. One Uncle, "Robbie" Robert Shiver Jr. Cousins Cassidy Shiver, Kambryn and Ethan Lethers, and Brooke Hartley, and Many beloved great uncles, aunts, and cousins.
