Michael Clark Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home on Jan. 26, 2026.
Michael Murry "Mickey" Clark, 86, of Ranger, Texas, died at home on January 22, 2026.

Mickey was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 4th, 1939, to Seymour Leonard and Ruth Sweeney Clark. Mickey attended Thomas Edison High School in San Antonio. While in high school he worked for a pool construction company. During this time, one of his employers introduced him to his sister-in-law Cheri Morgan.

Mickey and Cheri were married in 1964 after a long courtship. Shortly after starting a family, Mickey became a franchisee/dealer for Snap-On Tools and would be seen in his Snap-On Tools truck servicing parts of Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Comal, Gillespie, Kendall and Kerr counties.

Around 1976, Mickey and Cheri decided to raise their family in the small community of Boerne, Texas where they loved bowling with their friends at the Boerne Turn Verein. After deciding to leave Snap-On Tools, Mickey found employment and great friends working at Bergmann Lumber Company on Main Street.

Mickey and Cheri moved to Ranger in 2005 where they enjoyed membership in the First Baptist Church. In 2011 they became members in Lake Leon Baptist Church. Mickey always cherished the many friendships created since moving to Ranger.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents Seymour Leonard and Ruth Sweeney Clark, sister Betty Clark and brothers Jimmie and John L. Clark, father-in-law I.W. Morgan, mother-in-law Alice Jones Morgan, sister-in-law June Morgan Johnson and brother-in-law Charles "Buck" Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Cheri Morgan Clark, daughter Stacy Torres (Amos), son Barry Clark (Christi); granddaughters, Darbi Torres and Jessica Clark; grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Clark; brother-in-law Randall Mackey Morgan, sister-in-law Glenna Pryor Morgan, and countless nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas. Mickey's life will be honored in a service at Lake Leon Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 31, 2026. Burial will follow in Scranton Cemetery where family and friends will gather to celebrate the man he was and the joy he brought them.
