Michael Jay Cobleigh
"COB" Age 64, of Lowell, MA, sadly passed away on May 14, 2025.
Born on October 9, 1960, and raised in Tyngsboro, he was the beloved son of the late Gerald "Jake" A Cobleigh and is survived by his mother, Eleanor Cobleigh.
Michael enjoyed traveling and spending time at the ocean and lakes. His favorite pastime was fishing for "the big one."
A passionate New England sports fan, Michael loved discussing games and highlights, especially during nightly calls with his brother to recap baseball, football, and hockey. He had a lifelong love for fast cars and motorcycles. When he could no longer play golf, he spent his time enjoying the company of numerous friends and engaging in endless conversations with family. Michael especially loved a good Nap each day.
Michael will be remembered fondly by all who knew his generous heart, winning smile, and wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his three children:
– Brandon Vacca
– Samantha Tibbets and her husband, Shawn Tibbets, and their son, Forrest Tibbets
– Kendra Lopes and her husband, Jason Lopes, and her children, Colton Lopes and Landon Lopes
Also surviving are his sister, Kathy Kourkoulos, and her husband, Leo Kourkoulos, and their son, Christos Kourkoulos. He is also survived by his brother, Steven Cobleigh, and his wife, Beth Cobleigh; their son, Nicholas Cobleigh, and his children, Addisyn Cobleigh, the late Rowan Cobleigh, and River Cobleigh.
Michael is also remembered by Valerie Vacca, mother of two of his children, and his stepchildren, Nichole O'Blenis and D.J. Lopilato.
