Michael Dean Cogswell, age 70 of Six Lakes, Michigan, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, surrounded by family after a long battle with complications that resulted from an accident that occurred in 2007.
Michael was born March 4, 1955, in Six Lakes, to Floyd and Carol (Badge) Cogswell. He was the oldest of five siblings, Ron (Carolyn) Cogswell, James Cogswell, Janice (Jim) Bogardus, Frank (Betty-Jo) Cogswell, and Mikey Cogswell.
Michael married the love of his life, Cheryl Harmeier, on February 24, 2001. Together they raised seven children, Rose (Jason), the late Kenneth Badgero, Khresta, Brian, CJ (Nick), Charles, and Colin (Haile).
Mike spent his time gardening and farming but enjoyed his time surrounded by family or on the phone with them the most.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; children, Rose, Khresta, Brian, CJ, Charles, Colin; 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; siblings, Ron, Jim, Janice, Frank, Mikey; sister-in-law Mitsy; a very special aunt Diann Maguire, many nieces and nephews, and an entire community of friends.
Michael is predeceased by his parents Floyd and Carol Cogswell, son, Kenneth Badgero; grandparents, George and Hatti Badge, Floyd and Addie Cogswell, August and Eugenia Harmeier; niece, Jinger Cogswell; and many aunts and uncles.
No words can summarize Michael's life, as those memories will be held by those who knew him best.
