Michael Charles Cole

Michael Charles Cole, 61, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009 at his home. He was born April 4, 1948 in Peru, Indiana to Charles Cole and Olive (Culp Cole) Snyder. Mike graduated from Northfield High School in 1966. He married Jane Wilson in Richvalley, Indiana on February 18, 1967. He worked at Ford Meter Box in Wabash for 40 years, and was currently the customer service manager. Mike was a member of the Richvalley United Methodist Church and the Richvalley Lions Club. He enjoyed his family, golfing, fishing, and all sports. He is survived by his wife, Jane Cole; his mother, Olive (Charles) Snyder; his son, Troy (Gina) Cole, all of Wabash; his daughter, Michelle (Alex) Brickley of Hilliard, Ohio; five grandsons, Trae Cole of Wabash, Stephen Brickley of Hilliard, Kameron Cole of Wabash, Justin Brickley and Ryan Brickley, both of Hilliard; three brothers, Roger (Lydia) Cole of Munster, Indiana, Keith (Connie) Cole of North Manchester, Indiana, Chris (Karen) Cole of Roann, Indana; sister, Debbie (Steve) Day of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and step brother Chuck Cole of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Cole, who died 1998, his sister, Paula Brocious, who died in 2007, and his father. Funeral services will be held at Richvalley United Methodist Church, Richvalley, Indiana, on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Paul Burris and Pastor Forrest Bowers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Preferred memorials are Richvalley United Methodist Church or Wabash-Miami Home Healthcare and Hospice.
