Michael Joseph Converse

Michael Joseph Converse of Maryville, age 88, passed away on January 11, 2026. Born in Massillon, Ohio, he was the son of Leo and Florence Converse. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by beloved wife of 63 years Betty (Kimmel), children Jerry (Lori), Michele (Scott), Julie (Paul), Jeanette, Margaret, Jonathan (Rachel); grandchildren Nick (Caitlin), Sydney (Pat), Kimmel, Hadley, Ellie, Emma, Cason, Mary Catherine (Michael); 6 great grandchildren; siblings Jim, Jerry (Valerie), David (Marti) along with many relatives and friends.

Michael attended the University of Akron and taught school before working in graphic design, eventually starting his own business. He served in the US Army and spent his life serving others through various Veteran and church organizations. He shared his passion for all things Irish and his love for Notre Dame!
