Michael Croley Obituary
Mike will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a devoted husband, and a compassionate friend to all who knew him. He loved to golf with his buddies, ride his bike, go to Panther's games, and could easily be found hollering obscenities at the tv screen, if his team was losing. His charm, quick wit, and dry humor stood out in a room. He loved to laugh with his "people," and the sound of his won't soon be forgotten. He was a son of the late Donald Sidney and Louise Bundy Croley.
Mike was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He graduated from Daniel Boone High School in 1973 and ETSU in Johnson City, TN in 1977. Mike retired as a Regional VP with Ashland Chemical in 2015.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Stephanie Hughes Croley in Greenville, SC.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Amy Valko Croley of the home; three daughters, Jade and Glen Lafreniere of Bryson City, NC, Alex and Jon Kessler and Sydney Croley all of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Sage, Townes, Reid and Trust; two sisters, Linda and Bill Weathers of Englewood, FL and Sue Croley Brown of Johnson City, TN; two brothers, Steve and Molly Croley of Gray, TN and Stuart Croley of Greenville, SC; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece; mother and father-in-law, Sue and Jim Martin of Murrells Inlet, SC; one aunt and uncle, Jeanne and John Kosartes of Cullowhee, NC; special friend Ruby and husband, Rick Massengale of Greenville, SC; and the best three legged friend ever, Harley.
A memorial and celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, 11-2 pm at the Kimbels at Wachesaw Plantation, Richmond Hills, Murrells Inlet, SC.
