Michael Curschmann

A great and kind man is no longer with us. His visits to his childhood home in Schwabing will be dearly missed. Our get-togethers and our shared dinners were always filled with his wisdom, his interesting insights, humorous anecdotes, his academic endeavors, his exemplary humanism and his warmhearted understanding of the persons around him. He had us fascinated with his quest for a medieval artifact, that he tried to track down in museums and archives of the world - and with so many other things. He always created interest in culture, science, politics and history. We are grateful for the privilege of having known him.
