Michael “Mike” DeBroka, 85, of Mishawaka entered heavenly rest on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born on Dec. 11, 1940, to the late Michael J. and Margaret (Ganser) DeBroka and later married Marcia Anda, who survives.
Along with Marcia, their children, Amy (Mike) Hoy, Ryan, Matthew, and Todd DeBroka, all of South Bend survive, along with grandchildren, Brittany, Taylor, Trey, and Victoria, and 3 brothers. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara.
A proud graduate of Mishawaka High School and Army Reserve veteran, Mike was a longtime sales agent for LaSalle Bristol Products, and was known for his strong work ethic and his care for the community around him. Outside of work, his life centered on faith, family, and sports. He and his wife, Marcia, were longtime active members and ushers at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka. Mike was an avid Notre Dame fan and rarely missed a Chicago Cubs game. Most of all, he loved being present for family gatherings and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A time to visit with family and friends is scheduled for Monday, December 29, 2025 from 10 am – 12 pm, at Wells and Cruz Family Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 12 pm. Burial will follow immediately after at Fairview Cemetery, laid to rest next to his daughter, Tara.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Ronald McDonald House. To light a virtual candle, share a story of Mike’s life, or extend a message of comfort to his family, please visit the Guestbook.
