There are so many wonderful memories...my wife was the high school band director for Hannibal and we had the EXTREME pleasure of having Mike as our driver for nine band trips (Baltimore/Washington, New York City, Boston, Toronto, more). We wish it could have been twice that number. Mike was THE KEY factor so many time that really made, and in some cases, saved the trip. He was an extraordinary individual and we will miss him. On the trips he always spoke lovingly of his family. A truly devoted man. Someone who you wanted to go on the next trip with, again and again and again. We now live in both Florida and New York AND recently my wife was corresponding with Mike to try and catch up for dinner when he was near Orlando. So VERY sad that it didn´t happen. Here is just one of MANY photos we took at the end of a trip with Mike. Traditionally we would pull over in a safe overlook spot on the final day home. This is after our 2013 NYC trip. If you ever want more photos, and maybe a little video, just contact me - Jim Terrinoni, 315-564-5000.

So sorry for your loss. I've known Michael for 30 plus years. I worked with him at trailways and got to know him when he worked for covered wagon, while I worked for bluebird motorcoach. We kept up our friendship over the years. I will dearly miss him he was like a brother. I am so proud and happy to have been a small part of his life. I loved traveling with him when worked at trailways together. I will miss you very much. Until we meet again. Love you brother. Gene Phillips.
