Michael D. Demchak

I knew Mike from way back in grade school at St. Peter, and in high school at STA. We played basketball on the same CYO team. We met again when I came back to practice law in Canton. A true gentleman, always smiling, and a gracious friend. My condolences to his lovely wife and family. He was one of the good guys.

He was the kindest of souls and we always had great conversations during our many excursions whether it be running, playing golf or just sitting at the tables in the Downtown Y. Michael and I were close friends for 57 years. He was one of the kindest, considerate, compassionate and loyal persons I ever met. Michael was also a lot of fun. Sandra, Gussy and the rest of us who grew up with him on Plain Avenue unfortunately cannot share. Michael always put others needs before his. But what separated Michael was his deep faith. He lived it. We all learned much from him. He loved his dear Zana. They were two peas in a pod. He loved Dave and Chuckie dearly. Whenever we spoke about them, his face lit up. He loved his dear Sisters and their families. He loved his dear Mom and Dad, Betty and his second Dad next door, Jack Assails. Lastly he loved all the rest of us, his dear friends. Michael would want us all to be strong now despite our grief and put things in God's hands. He is on the other side waiting for us. We will see him again. God rest Michael Demchak's dear soul and may perpetual light shine upon him.

My condolences to Zana and family. Zana, know you are heart broken but you are also strong. Your mom and children need your strength. Memories eternal.

We are still in shock. There are not enough wonderful adjectives to describe Mike. He truly was a light to others and kindness and love to others were his trademark. Practicing law with Mike was a pleasure and joy. He was a true and compassionate friend who always had time to listen and help if he could. His belief in God was contagious and truly exemplified in every aspect of his daily life. Mike was such blessing to the lives of so many. He will be truly missed by all.

Zana I am so very sad and sorry for you and your families loss of such a good and giving man. He loved his family and friends . May he rest in eternal peace.

Michael handled the Will and Trust of several family members, including myself. I would often see Michael in church and we would always catch up on how things were going. He was a great friend and supported me with my job search. I will definitely miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
