Michael G. DeVincentis Sr.

Michael G. DeVincentis Sr., of Orange CT, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025. Michael was born on August 4, 1960, in Orange CT to the late Orlando "Pat" DeVincentis and Loretta Riccio DeVincentis.
Michael, a lifelong resident of Orange, CT, spent some years living in Hamden to raise his son before eventually returning to his beloved hometown. Michael began his career working on helicopter rotors for over a decade at Avco, part of the Stratford Army Engine Plant. When the company relocated out of state, Michael embraced the opportunity to follow in his father's footsteps as a jewelry and watch repairman, founding New Haven Clock Repair. From 1997 to 2010, Michael proudly owned and operated the business, gaining a reputation for his craftsmanship and dedication.
Michael was a man of many talents and passions. A devoted gardener, he worked tirelessly to perfect his vegetable garden, constructed his own greenhouse, nurtured apple trees, and lovingly created a rose garden in honor of the Blessed Mother Mary. His love for the outdoors extended to fishing and deer hunting, hobbies he enthusiastically shared with his son. An avid woodworker, Michael built cabinets, molding, and furniture from scratch, showcasing his remarkable skill and creativity.
Yet, above all his accomplishments, Michael took the greatest pride in his role as a father and grandfather. Affectionately known as "Pop-Pop," he adored his grandchildren, showering them with love and cherishing every moment spent together. His unwavering devotion to his family was the cornerstone of his life, leaving behind a legacy of love and countless treasured memories.
Michael is survived by his beloved son Michael DeVincentis and his wife Corrine, grandson Dominic DeVincentis, granddaughter Adriana DeVincentis, nephew Michael McDevitt (Sarah), and niece Megan Sanchez (Jesse). He is predeceased by his sister Laurene McDevitt.
