Mike DiTroia Passed away February 3rd, 2014 at the age of 63 in Rochester. He is predeceased by his father Arthur and mother Mary DiTroia. He was survived by his sisters Marcia DiTroia and Marie McElligott and his brother Mark DiTroia. His nieces Julie Cignarale, Jennifer and Jessica DiTroia and Erin McElligott. His nephews Patrick and Daniel Cignarale, Shawn McElligott and Mark DiTroia, Jr. His many cousins, the DiTroia, the Dagostino, the Frattare,and the Hurley families. His many long time friends from school and sports throughout the country Mike graduated from Aquinas High School where he lettered in track and football. He attended Ithaca College where he received a BA in Physical Ed.. He excelled at football and lacrosse and after graduating played football for the semi-pro Rochester Wolves. Mike taught school as a substitute teacher in the Cleveland OH area before moving back to Rochester to teach physical ed. in the city school district. Mike also spent 32 years as a sports referee for Monroe County. Please join us for a celebration of Mike's life at Thomas Funeral Chapels, 4545 Lake Ave in Charlotte Friday Feb. 7 from 4-7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Church on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 9 a.m.

My deepest condolences to Mike's family.
I played 4 years of football with Mike at Aquinas and have many good memories of him. He was fearless and well respected, both on & off the field.
RIP Mike. You'll be missed, but never forgotten.

Marcia, Marie and Mark:

Mike was a dear friend, fraternity brother, roommate, classmate and teammate whom I shared many special moments with. I'll forever treasure our eventful, adventurous and always happy times together.
