Walnut Grove, MO – Michael Wayne Dodd, age 70, of Walnut Grove, Missouri, passed away on August 2, 2025. Born on August 18, 1954, in Lockwood, Missouri, Michael led a life that reflected his deep connection to both the earth and his family.

Michael worked in the concrete sector, where his hard work and skills shone brightly.

Beyond his professional life, Michael was a man of many passions. He found joy in hunting and fishing, often relishing the tranquility of nature. His wife, Sue, affectionately remarked that he should have been born in the 1800s, as he possessed a remarkable ability to live off the land. Whether he was crafting something special in his workshop or sharing stories of his outdoor adventures, Michael's spirit inspired those around him.

Michael leaves behind his devoted wife, Kay Dodd; his loving daughter, Susan Buckner, and son-in-law, Steven Buckner; as well as his son, Nathaniel Dodd, and daughter-in-law, Teka Dodd. 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who cherished the moments spent in his presence. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; Clarence JR and Marjorie Dodd and an older brother Joseph Dodd.

A memorial service will be held to honor Michael's life, and details will be announced in the coming days. Those who knew him are encouraged to join in remembering a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and embraced the simple joys of life. In the spirit of Michael, family and friends are invited to come together in celebration of his legacy of hard work, resilience, and love for the outdoors.

May Michael Wayne Dodd rest in peace, knowing he made an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
