Mike, 71, of Salem passed away from a battle with cancer.He was born in Portland, OR to David and Verna Doherty. He was the third of four children and oldest son. He lived in Portland most of his life.Throughout most of Mike's career he was a heavy equipment operator and then became a general contractor specializing in home remodels from 2001 to 2022.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl as well as sons Jacob in Salem and Mack in Portland, Sisters Diane (spouse Duane) and Debbie, younger brother Bob (spouse Katherine), as well as many nieces, nephews and grand nephews and nieces. Mike loved his entire family very much and was very proud of them all. Most of all Mike embraced being irish and all that goes with it!
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 22nd, 2025 2pm to 5pm at Jenkins Estate Stables 8005 SW Grabhorn Rd, Beaverton, OR 97007. Please RSVP to Cheryl Doherty @ 503.860.2926
