Sorry to hear about your father. We worked together at Society and our desks were next to each other. We ate several times at the Bay Diner with him after the death of your mother. Wish we knew he was ill again. You will miss him as well as Ann and I. Our thoughts and prayers are with you

Jerry and I will miss Mike. He just called a few weeks ago and still sounded like the same person talking to Jerry about the old high school days. He was such a good friend. Jerry said they sure had a lot of fun. We loved seeing him and Sue. Prayers for his children and grandchildren. He spoke of you everytime we talked. Rest in peace Mike. Now you're with Sue again!!

One more tribute to our friend Mike. This was so him. We wanted to share it especially with his family, who he talked about so proudly all the time. We hope it moves everyone who reads it.

"I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."

My sincere condolences are with the Doland family. I cared for your mom at the nursing facility and your dad was the most loved family member there. He was such a wonderful, caring man. I enjoyed many conversations with him and he will be deeply missed.

Mark and Lori, our deepest condolences to you and your family in the lose of your Dad. We spent many hours with your Dad and Mom over the years as we watched you grow with our children. Your dad helped me in many BHS projects and who could forget the Parents Night Skit with your mom. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Nancy and I have returned from FL and Are back in the Bay Area. Hope to see you all.

It is with great sadness to learn of Mike's passing. He was such a true precious, precious man. We feel extremely thankful and blessed we met Mike in 2018, at Jake's on the Lake, just after his beloved wife passed from Alzheimer disease. He so loved coming to Jake's, and would often speak about Susan, and how he dedicated his life, love, and time caring for her. His eyes just sparkled with his memories of her, and we enjoyed watching him be so happy. Don and I last saw Mike on January 17, 2020 at Jake's, when he was in with his grandson. We spoke only for a few minutes with him. He did not look well. We worried, because after that brief encounter, we had not seen him in over a month. We attempted to call him at his home several times, but to no avail. We left voice mail messages, but never had anyone return our call/messages. Rest in Peace our dear, beautiful friend, for you were "one of a very precious kind"; like a rare diamond. You are now with your beautiful Susan.

Mike was my parents' next door neighbor for years. Despite their age difference, Mike and Sue were always so kind and gracious to my mom and dad, often including or joining them in extended happy hours at each others' homes. After my mom's passing, Mike continued to include my dad and for that alone I am so grateful to Mike. He was a good man who had a wonderful outlook on life. Mike and Sue raised two wonderful kids and I extend them my deepest condolences.

I met Mike at one of his favorite spots for breakfast, Bay Diner. He was a great listener but I loved to hear his sales stories since we had that in common. He talked about his family every week I saw him and was always smiling, he will be missed!

There are no words. Our thoughts and prayers and condolences for all who loved him. Mike was such a man of integrity, loyalty, and always loved to have fun. We shared so much of our lives - holidays, birthdays, spring break trips to Florida, Disney World, Chicago, annual Christmas shopping downtown, New Years Eve overnights - our family will always cherish those times. I know he and Sue are reunited and having fun as we speak. He will be missed.
