I met Michael numerous times on HCVC London-Brighton Runs and other events in the early 1960s and always enjoyed the chats we had. His preserved Brighton Corporation AEC Regent was always immaculately presented and it is to his credit that it still exists. He will always be remembered as a pioneer preservationist and may now deservedly R.I P.

I remember Dryhurst Publications of around 1960 and still have and use the very concise publication "The London Trolley Bus". Michael was accurate and organised in those days and continued thus over his life offering many gems of bus information to the enthusiast fraternity. He will be greatly missed. Thomas W. W. Knowles.
