I have known you even before you got sick with ALS, I have always heard news about how you were doing. Cameron often shared your situation with me, and through him I came to know how much you suffered from this illness. I could feel how deeply Cameron was hurting, but at the same time, I saw how much love and effort he gave to make you comfortable during those two years until your last breath.
Even though you never knew me and we never met, I prayed for you. I have been praying for your healing and that you could live longer so Cameron could keep his happiness. I understood why Cameron couldn´t visit me...because he didn´t want to leave you, not even for a moment and I respected that. I chose to be patient so he could focus on taking care of you and being there for Mom. Sometimes I have been asking Cameron to visit me even just for 3 days only because I am confident with my prayers that you'll live longer like more years but he get upset because he's really afraid of leaving you, he didn't want to missed anything from you. And that shows how much you are important for Cameron and I respected that and at the same time I witnessed his love for you can't measure with anything else.
Now that you are in God´s hands, I believe your suffering has ended. I had prayed for a miracle and maybe that miracle was for you to have a chance to see and feel the love of your family before you left this world.
Cameron has told me so much about you...what a wonderful father, best friend, and adviser you were to him. You were his source of happiness and inspiration. Most of all, you raised such a great son, and for that, I will always be thankful.
You will never be forgotten in my prayers, together with my own father. I only wish I had the chance to meet you in person and give you a hug and see your smile at me. Until then, see you again in God´s world, Dad.
