Michael Ely Obituary
Michael Ely, age 43 of Gatesville passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
Michael Lee Ely was born on February 18, 1981 to the late Donald and Charmey Ragsdale Ely in Sweetwater, Texas. He grew up and attended school in San Angelo, Texas. Michael worked in construction most of his adult life. Locally, he worked as a driver for Sawdust and Splinters, and as a mechanic for Sam’s Garage. He enjoyed playing baseball, skateboarding, listening to music and being around friends and family.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Charmey Ely, and grandmothers, Billie Louise Ragsdale and Patricia Dorothy Hines.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Ely; children, Aubrey Ely and Layne Ely; sisters, Crissy Ely, Sarra Jarvis and Skie Jarvis; granddaughter, Aspyn Confer; niece, Katlynn Lacy; great niece, Charmey Galloway; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends; and soon to be great nephew, Taz Eugene Galloway.
