Michael Ray Emily

Michael Ray Emily, known as Mike to family and friends, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the age of 52. He was born on August 25, 1972, in Potosi, Missouri to Linda Courtway and the late Terry Emily. 

Mike was loved by many, who described him as “sweet and sour”. He was known for being fiercely loyal to his loved ones. He had many friends whom he enjoyed helping whenever they needed a hand. His friends & loved ones knew him as someone who would always give but never take. In his free time, Mike enjoyed fishing & collecting various items to add to his collection of antiques. Bargaining with his friends was something that he could often be found doing. Though he wasn't typically one who loved animals, he had a special bond with his dog, Luna. 

Mike is survived by his wife, Megan Emily; three children: Gina Emily, Steven Emily, and Haylea Emily (fiance Kyler); grandson, Kiran Emily; mother, Linda Courtway; siblings: Joe Emily, Philip Emily, and Brian Courtway; special niece, Savannah Hawkins, as well as many extended family members and friends. 

Mike is preceded in passing by his father, Terry Emily, his step-father, Tim Courtway, and the mother of his children, Ashley.

Mike's family will be having a celebration of life service at a later date. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
