Michael Fitzpatrick Obituary
Hartselle
A Celebration of Life Service for Michael Anthony FitzPatrick, 64, formerly of Stafford, Va., will be Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Annunciation Of The Lord Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Alabama National Cemetery at Montevallo, with full Military Honors. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. FitzPatrick was born March 30, 1949, in Salina, Kan., to Ellis and Sarah Jones FitzPatrick. He passed away January 12, 2014, in Woodbridge, Va.
After 28 years of active duty, he retired from the United States Army as an Aviation Quality Control Supervisor.
Post retirement, Mr. FitzPatrick worked for the Army National Guard Headquarters and the Army Material Command (AMC) as an Aviation Logistician.
Mr. FitzPatrick is survived by his wife, Pamela FitzPatrick; son, Michael Anthony FitzPatrick Jr., Hartselle; four daughters, Cathrine FitzPatrick, Hartselle, Andrea (James) Moore, Woodbridge Va., Sarah (Brian) English, Ruther Glen, Va., and Heather FitzPatrick, Hartselle; two brothers, Arthur FitzPatrick, Medford, Ore., and Danny FitzPatrick, San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Patricia Hawkins, Mesquite, Texas, and Sandra FitzPatrick, Illinois; six grandchildren, Nathaniel Payne Jr., Ethan Payne, Brandon FitzPatrick, Dillon Moore, Logan Moore and Mathieu English.
Pallbearers will be provided by the Military.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

I will never be able to forget fitz,i first met him at fort ord in 1984 and I carried his lessons with me he was bigger than life and im sorry I didn't look for him sooner to pam and the family you are all in my prayers prayers

Fitz, you'll be missed. We served together on active duty in Buedingen and Hanau, Germany, and at the National Guard Bureau as civilians. My prayers go to Pam and family as you go through this difficult time.
