To the family of Prof. Michael Fix -

I hope this message finds you amidst moments of peace and remembrance during this difficult time. I am writing on behalf of the Spring 2020 class at Concordia College to express our deepest gratitude and to pay homage to an extraordinary educator and human being, Professor Michael Fix. The news of his passing has deeply saddened us, and I felt compelled to share how profoundly he impacted my life and the lives of many others at Concordia College.

Professor Fix was more than just a teacher to us; he was a mentor, a guide, and a relentless supporter of our dreams. His unique ability to recognize and nurture the potential within each student was genuinely remarkable. For adult learners like myself, juggling the complexities of life, work, and education, Professor Fix was a beacon of hope and a source of unwavering support. He went above and beyond to ensure we understood the material and believed in our ability to succeed.

Please accept our deepest condolences for this irreplaceable loss. We also extend our gratitude to you and everyone who supported Professor Fix in his mission to make a difference in the lives of his students.

With heartfelt sympathy and immense gratitude,

Michael and I were roommates at Fairfield. He was a kind and thoughtful friend. The fitting obituary had one shortcoming. Mike was an excellent pianist, with two thick spiral song books. He played on some weekends at a bar/restaurant in downtown Fairfield. He was well received. After college we had a long distance relationship, one that´s I will remember

I was a colleague of Mike within the business department at Concordia College. He was an adjunct and I was full time. We collaborated on class presentations and, In fact, one semester we taught a selling course together. Mike was an easy guy to work with and always willing to help others. He was a giver, not a taker- hard to find these days. He spoke frequently of his family and was extremely patriotic. He will be missed. Jerry Carrino
