Michael Fox Obituary
Michael was born in Cincinnati on Jan. 3, 1951. Michael graduated from Slippery Rock University in December 1977 and from the master's program at St. Bonaventure University.
He began his teaching career at Bradford Area Schools, teaching health and physical education. Michael also coached swimming at Bradford, taking the team to the state championships. His passion was coaching, particularly swimming, which held a special place in his heart and it was a sport he greatly cherished.
He later operated and owned Gallery of Fitness Center in Olean, N.Y., for 10 years. After moving to Cleveland, he began teaching at various schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. His passion for coaching continued in various sports, including volleyball, swimming and softball. He has touched the lives of many athletes.
Michael was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle rider with his wife. He loved his kitties, which brought him much joy.
Michael is survived by his wife, Judith A. Miller Arendt Fox; son, Steven M. Fox (Bethany) of Apex, N.C.; stepson, Bryan C. Arendt; stepdaughter, Sally Arendt Strollo; grandchildren Rachel, Celeste and Benjamin Fox and Daniel and Samantha Strollo;
brothers, Dennis J. Fox (Linda), Kevin S. Fox (Judith) and Timothy B. Fox (Barbara) and sister Kathleen E. Fox and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis J. and Juanita O. Fox; and brother Patrick J. Fox.
Michel's legacy as an educator, coach and loving family member will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those who had the privilege of crossing his path.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve, Lake County, Ohio; American Heart Association; Payton Kirk Memorial Scholarship Fund, Bradford; or to the charity of your choice.
A celebration of life will be held June 21, 2025, at a time and place to be determined.

I apologize for the tardiness of this reply, but I only check the Bradford Era occasionally. I had the pleasure of coaching with Mike at Bradford High. We coached together for 5 years before I joined the Air Force. Please accept my sincere condolenses.

Had the honor of being taught 9th grade health by Mr Fox at School St school when it was a junior high in 1987-1988 in Bradford, Pa. He was a pretty cool teacher. Prayers to his family.

From the moment we met Mike at church, we knew he was one of a kind. We have greatly enjoyed our friendship and conversations with you and Mike over the years. We now grieve Mike´s loss with you. We take comfort knowing Mike is now free from his physical challenges and will spend eternity with our Lord and Savior. Mike can now rest from his labor, for his deeds will follow him. Mike has been a positive and powerful influence on many, many young people over his lifetime.
You gave Mike so much love and comfort. We loved Mike and will miss him dearly.
