Michael Anthony Fox Sr. July 15, 1955 – December 17, 2025 Born in Queens NY to Catherine (Dwyer) and Henry Michael Fox Sr. Career: Fire Sprinkler fitter, owner
Mike was an amazing, funny, hardworking, strong, and loving man. In his youth in Long Island NY, Mike was the ultimate athlete surfer. He was the definition of handsome and 70's cool. Throughout his life, Mike loved the beach. In his twenties he moved to Florida and never looked back. Mike's profession was a Fire protection guru specializing in the installation of fire protection sprinklers. And his love for the ocean emerged again as in his 40's when Mike moved his business to the Caribbean for several years. He was happiest watching the sunset over the ocean. Mike never met a stranger and everyone he encountered never forgot Mike Fox! He was a dedicated and hard worker but his greatest love and accomplishment was his family. Mike loved his family, his parents, siblings, in-laws, but most important in his life were his two beautiful children (Christy and Michael Jr.) and four amazing grandchildren(Gabby, Anthony, Emma, and Brayden).
God had a plan for Mike. There aren't words aside from how much he was and is loved! He was the definition of an amazing father, friend and all around great person. He never let his children down and worked so hard for his family to have a beautiful life. His pride and love for Christy and Mike Jr. were immeasurable. In his 50's, he lived with his son Michael Jr and helped raise his youngest grandson Brayden. In his later years he loved living with his wonderful daughter Christy, her partner Alex, and 3 of his grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren as they were perfect in his eyes even with their sassy ways. He looked forward to every morning call from his granddaughter Gabby, he would say, "Hi Gabby" and she would reply "Hi Papa". He had a candy bar for his granddaughter Emma each time she left home and thought his grandson Anthony was the "smartest person he ever met!" And for his youngest grandchild Brayden, there wasn't a karate practice or tournament where Mike wasn't in the stands. All his grandchildren adored him. Mike was funny! His NY tough guy sense of humor shined as he teased, made jokes, and added fun to daily life. Family was his heart. And if there was any family call to his daughter Christy, Mike had to interrupt, ask "How you doing?", reminisce, and joke, especially with daily calls from his sister-in-law, Nancy. Together his surviving family will honor him ! No one in this lifetime will ever compare to his funny, (at times) a lot of work, and loving personality. Dad /Papa/Mike was one of a kind!
