Dr. Garner was my secondary education professor at Shorter College. I remember he invited us students into his home for a meal and family time. He made an impact on so many lives because he cared deeply about his students. He was an exceptional teacher, dear friend, and very good man.

Dr Garner had a profound influence on me as a secondary education major. He was kind, helpful, and very interested in all of his high school teachers doing well. I always valued his advice. Many condolences to his family. He was well liked and well respected by all of his students at Shorter College.
