Michael S. Gliniewicz: 54 years old, lifelong resident of
Antioch, IL passed away Monday December 26, 2022, at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. He was born January 11, 1968, in
Waukegan, IL the son of the late Joseph and Debbie (neé McLean) Gliniewicz. After graduating from Antioch Community High School, Mike proudly served in the US Army. For the past 30 years, Mike has worked for the Village of Antioch Public Works Department. Mike was a member of the Antioch Fire Department for over 24 years, former member of the Jaycees, and was a fundraising coordinator for Camp I Am Me for over 20 years. He played on the Thursday Night Men's Golf League at Spring Valley Golf Club, was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, and enjoyed: gardening, cooking, canning, helping others, and especially walking his dogs. On December 24, 2016, he married Barbara Ambroso in
Antioch, IL.
Survivors include: his wife Barb; stepchildren: Hailey Ambroso of Vicksburg, MI, and Carson (Lexy) Ambroso of
Seattle, WA; grandson Auden; Sister-in-law Melodie Gliniewicz, nephews: Joseph, Donald "DJ", Jeffrey, and David; and countless friends. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a brother Charles Joseph Gliniewicz.
Visitation will be held from 1PM until 5PM Saturday January 14, 2022, at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83)
