Michael John Goheen, age 64, of Ravenel, South Carolina (formerly of Oshkosh, Wisconsin), passed away on February 12, 2026, following a tragic motorcycle accident in which he struck a deer. In that moment, God called him home.

Michael was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on September 16, 1961, to the late John Patrick Goheen and Beverly Ann Goheen. He attended Lourdes Academy and graduated from Omro High School with the Class of 1979.Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1980 to 1982. 

He went on to become a self-employed master carpenter, where his craftsmanship shone. A true visionary and creative woodworker, he built stunning electric guitars, ukuleles, and other musical instruments. He was also a mechanical wizard, passionate about all things motorized- constructing custom motorcycles, choppers, barstool go-karts, boats, and more.  Above all, Michael was a talented musician who loved sharing his gifts with others.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his great-aunt, Alyce Dietzmann; his grandparents, Marian Scherer, Patrick Goheen, and Leona Goheen; his uncle, James Goheen; his uncle, Charles Scherer; his aunt, Dorothy Horejs; and his cousins, Denise (Horejs) Filmore.

Michael is survived by the love of his life, Beth Gearhart; his beloved sister, Kathryn (Goheen) Thomas Horejs Madonia; his brother, Kevin (Laurie) Goheen; his sister, Patricia (Robert) Pascal; his nieces, Lyndsay Formiller and Ashley (Elijah) Haase; his nephews, John E. Goheen, Aaron Russell, Joshua Russell, Taylor Russell, and Sawyer Russell; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aubree Wroblewski, Paityn Wroblewski, Ella Russell, Elijah Russell, and Jackson Russell; as well as many cherished cousins and dear friends whom he loved deeply.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared by his family

Michael was a strong, great man of God who shared his faith openly and generously. He would and friends. want everyone to know: JESUS LOVES YOU! (John 3:16).
