Michael Gene Goll

Michael Gene Goll, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on May 16, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis Missouri at the age of 66. Michael was born on November 26, 1957, in Carrollton, Missouri to the late Lloyd and Velma Goll (Hawkins).
Michael was known for being a hard worker, with most of his career working in the construction trade. In the year 1996 Michael started with the company Copeland Development. For the next twenty-six years, he made his living traveling to several different states building stores from the ground up. He took pride in his work and enjoyed the new places he was able to see and the people he met along the way. For Michael, no task was too big, and a job well done was always the result of his work. Development was not his only line of work though. For several years Michael was a dedicated volunteer for the Montauk rural fire department in Salem, Missouri. He loved his community and considered it a privilege to be able to give back and serve those in it. His best work by far and what he took the most joy in was his beautiful family. His loving wife Vickie Tester Goll and his children Corey, Mathew, Kenny, Mike, Adrianna and stepson Justin. Spending time with his loved ones is what truly made him complete. Whether it be enjoying time on the river while canoeing, hunting or fishing and even riding horses that he raised on the family farm, Michael was sure never to take those moments for granted. Time that was spent making those memories will always be cherished and remembered as a tribute to the man he truly was.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by two of his sisters Brenda Orr and Beverly Goll, along with his granddaughter Lexi Potts.
Michael is survived by his wife, Vickie Tester Goll of Salem MO; brother Dan Goll (Brenda) of Winston MO; sister Cathy Templeton (Ed) of Lawson MO; sons Corey Goll (Charity); Mathew Goll (Courtney); Kenny Banks (Rhea); Mike Potts (Amanda); daughter Adrianna Alverson and stepson Justin Vance along with thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews several dear friends and beloved neighbors.
The family of Michael Goll honored his wishes to be cremated. All arrangements are under the James and Gahr Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorials for the Goll family are available at all the James and Gahr locations.
