Michael D. Grace, age 72, of Newark, Delaware, passed peacefully on October 11, 2025, with his nephew and caretaker, Mark Pecci by his side.
Michael was born and raised in Philadelphia. As a child, Michael attended Girard College from 3rd grade until his senior year in high school and went on to graduate from LaSalle College in 1974.
Michael worked as a computer programmer for most of his career at Citibank but also worked at Central Penn National Bank and Industrial Valley Bank earlier in his banking career.
He enjoyed traveling, the Ocean City Maryland Beach, Seaside Heights and the Boardwalk. Michael loved to eat, Thrashers Fries, the pu pu platter at the Chinese Restaurant, Wawa meatball subs and loved being invited over for home cooked meals. Michael was an aficionado for movies and music and would be a worthy partner in any trivia contest.
Son of the late John & May Ida Grace
Brother of the late Joan E Pecci (Harry) and John R Grace
Cherished uncle of Mark Pecci, Harry Pecci (Susie), Diane Heath (Paul) and Valerie DiBattista (Clem).
Great uncle of Samantha Dicce, Eric Pecci, Kevin Pecci, Geoffrey DiBattista, Jessica DiBattista, Paul Heath, David Heath, Alex Heath, Alex Pecci and Christopher Pecci.
Great, great uncle of Rose Heath, Sophia Dicce, Jacob Dicce and Aaliyah Maldonado-Pecci
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday. Oct 21st 9 am at St. Patrick Church 212 Meredith St. Kennett Square, Pa. 19348. Funeral mass be at 10 am
Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
