Michael Ray Grimm, 42, lived in northern Wyoming at the base of the mountains, passed away on January 29th, 2025, of recent health complications surrounded by loving family. Michael was born June 28th, 1982, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Raymond and Deanna Grimm. Michael was the oldest and only boy to three younger sisters. Michael met the love of his life, Cathy Hebert, in high school, and they married December 15th, 2001. Michael was a gifted singer who spent many years in the All-City Children’s Choir and even traveled to New York City to sing at Carnegie Hall. He loved to camp with his family and enjoyed exploring each new place. Michael had an interesting relationship with wild animals and has had elk charge and chase him and during a paintball game with friends, he was chased by a racoon.
Michael had a fantastic sense of humor and enjoyed cracking jokes. His charismatic personality drew people to him, and he always had a tight-knit group of friends. He had a passion for racing, cars and specifically Ford Mustangs. Michael enjoyed going to Bandimere speedway with his wife to watch his favorite drag racing teams. Michael and his dad spent their 40th and 60th birthday in Daytona, FL to watch the Daytona 500. This trip was special and one that was supposed to be repeated for the two. This trip was the first time Michael was able to see the ocean and he was captivated with its beauty. He was a huge foodie and enjoyed trying new recipes, smoking his own meats and indulging in his wife’s delicious homemade Mexican food.
Michael was a talented HVAC technician who had a way with connecting and building relationships with his customers that resulted in a loyal customer base. He had moved to Sheridan, Wyoming for an HVAC position in which he was quickly welcomed into the community and became sought after for work. Michael has had a loyal companion in his dog, Shadow. These two spent countless hours hanging out in his chair watching TV and researching recipes. Michael is beloved and will be greatly missed.
Michael has been preceded in death by both sets of grandparents Windy and Val Grimm, Robert and Mary Doe, Uncles Bryan and Windy Grimm, Bill Colarusso, Aunt Robin Jones and brother-in-law Justin Skrettingland. Michael is survived by his wife, Cathy and two children, Heather (Jackson) and Justin Grimm, recent granddaughter Willow, parents Raymond and Deanna Grimm, sisters Danielle Venegas (Ivan), Nicole Bliesner, Natalie Allred (Jeff) and 9 nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes on March 15th, 2025, at 10am.
