Michael Gutkowski

Mike was my best friend. I´ve known him since high school. In fact, he, I, and another friend attended Pulaski´s High School Prom together in 1977 with our then-girlfriends. The girls were the ones who attended Pulaski, while we three guys all went elsewhere.

Through the years, Mike and I would go together to Summerfest, Wisconsin State Fair, church festivals, and car shows. We both had an avid interest in the beer collecting hobby and attended many local area and regional shows, as well as, national conventions. We both liked collecting historical items from Milwaukee area breweries.

I chose Mike to be the best man at my wedding in 2008. Over the past 20 years, my wife had gotten to know and appreciate Mike, too. He was a true friend, one you could absolutely depend on. He almost always had a hilarious story to tell - either about something that happened to him personally, or that he heard about on the news.

With his retirement in November 2024, Mike and I had plans to do a lot more hanging around together - either going to beer shows, or just getting together to chat about things. His untimely death certainly leaves a large void in my life. He will be sorely missed, both by me and my wife.
