Michael Ray Hanson
Born: August 18, 1972
Died: December 10, 2025
Michael Ray Hanson, 53, of Watseka and formerly of Beach Park, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Michael was born on August 18, 1972 in Kankakee, the son of David H. Hanson and Bonita Pollock.
He is survived by his mother, Bonita Heidenreich of Watseka; one brother David Hanson Jr. of Plant City, FL; one sister, Nancy Bowers of Paris, France; one niece, April (Matt) Frazier of Florida; one great-niece, Avalynn Frazier of Florida; one aunt, Karen Fish of Milford; one uncle, Paul Pollock of Milford; five cousins, Cynthia Gossett of Milford, David Fish of Cloverdale, IN, Matthew Fish of Blackwell, OK, Michelle Dalton of Wisconsin, and Tiffany Pollock of Tennessee; and several other special relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandmother, Margaret Goodell, grandfather, Charles Pollock, grandfather, Leslie Goodell; step-father, Michael Heidenreich; one aunt, Mary Pollock, one great aunt and uncle, Rev. John and Oma Wolfe; and two dogs, Copper and Flopsie.
Michael loved fishing as well as enjoyed repairing TV's and electronics. He attended Kankakee First Church of the Nazarene, Waukegan First Church of the Nazarene, and later Sheldon Church of Nazarene.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
