Michael Harris Obituary
Michael is survived by his wife, Ann. Mike was the father of Jane, David, Terry, Carmen, and Michael Jr. He was the grandfather of Monique, Adonica, Cierra, and Kyla. Michael's siblings include Carlos, Keith, Darlene, and Pamela.
Born in Winston-Salem, NC, on August 16, 1951, Mike's life was characterized by service and spanned 4 countries and several states. He served over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring with honors in 1992. He continued to protect the public for another 17 years: as a MARTA transit police officer in Atlanta, before training and graduating as an officer with US Customs and Border Protection.
After traveling the world together, Mike and Ann retired to Charles Town, WV, enjoying a quieter life, filled with laughter and good friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to the American Heart Association.
