Michael Harrison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery - Gadsden on Dec. 17, 2025.
Michael Clark Harrison, age 57, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, following a short illness. He was the beloved son of retired Army officer Lt. Co Carl G. and Johnnie Harrison. Visitation will be at Crestwood Funeral Home on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 11 a.m. with graveside following at 12 p.m. at Crestwood Cemetery. Paul Harbison will be singing for the service.

Michael cherished time spent with his family, celebrating holidays, and enjoying the company of friends. His happiest moments were family trips to Destin, which held a special place in his heart. He worked for many years as a television technician at Alabama Public Television, a job he truly loved. Michael had a warm, infectious smile and a joyful spirit that could light up any room. He will be deeply and greatly missed by all who knew him.

Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. Fly high, my beloved brother in Christ.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Lt. Col. Carl Guy Harrison, as well as his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Harrison; his sons, Corey Harrison and Luke Shelton; his stepdaughter, Courtney (Judd) Hydrick; his mother, Johnnie Marlene Harrison; and his brother, Rick (Brenda) Harrison. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gadsden ROTC or Wounded Warriors.

Pallbearers will be Corey Harrison, Luke Shelton, Mark Ellis, Matt Phillips, Mark Hill, and Allan Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers are Harrison Dial and Brian Dial.

Special thanks are extended to Zac Clay, Steven Dial, College Heights Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, and Pro Health Hospice for their care, support, and compassion.
